The summer of 2021 isn’t one that Swindon Town fans will forget in a hurry. Senior staff abandoned the club leaving the rest little choice but to continue work unpaid for close to a month. This includes the eight players who showed tremendous loyalty by not walking away from their contracts when it would have been the easiest option to do so. Their collective decisions to remain assisted in providing new manager, Ben Garner, much needed stability ahead of the new season and we are all tremendously grateful.
